Conflict of Interests Policy

 As a member, staff, or volunteer of the Children Welfare Association, one has an obligation to act in the best interest of Children Welfare Association. Hence, they need to avoid situations where there may be real, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that may arise where a member’s personal or family interests’ conflict with those of the association.

 Such conflicts may give rise to situations that may result in the following:

1. cause damage to Children Welfare Association reputation, which may lead to its inability to sustain operations;
2. influence the members’ judgment and compromise objectivity when conducting the Children Welfare Association’s affairs;
3. restrict free discussion, thus resulting in decisions or actions that are not in the interest of Children Welfare Association; and
4. risk the impression that Children Welfare Association has acted improperly.

This policy aims to protect both Children Welfare Association and its members from any appearance of impropriety.
